A few words about me
I trained in Fine Arts, but it was on construction sites and forgotten boards that I found my material.
The formwork wood speaks to me. It has carried, supported, and absorbed. It preserves the traces of reality, and I compose with them.
I'm not trying to erase it — I'm revealing it.
I continue to work in cinema, as first assistant director.
But when I paint, it is another light that I seek.
Not the one in the spotlight, the one that trembles in the depths of a gaze or in silence.
I paint to capture what cannot be explained.
A moment. A presence. An emotion.
I don't create images. I propose encounters.
Between a living matter, a fragile moment… and you.

Wood ~ A living memory
I don't paint on a white canvas.
Wood has already lived. It has carried, supported, resisted.
Each board I collect is marked by time, tools, and men.
I sand it, I clean it, I prime it, but I don't try to erase it.
I keep the snags, the holes, the scars in the wood.
They guide me. They speak.
Wood is never neutral.
He imposes a rhythm on me, a breathing pattern.
It is this dialogue with the material that makes each work unique.
