A woman from the United States stands before a graffiti-covered facade in Berlin. Her gaze wanders over the bricks, searching for a fragmented family history. Her grandfather fled Germany in 1940. He disappeared, never to return. She believes she recognizes this house. But is it still a house, or the reflection of a fractured memory?
